Job Summary:
The Vice President of Marketing is a critical leadership role responsible for shaping and executing Andela's marketing strategy to accelerate growth, drive market visibility, and enhance our brand positioning.
Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, the VP of Marketing will lead all marketing activities across our core business lines, including AI services, our talent marketplace, and a SaaS product portfolio. The successful candidate will be a strategic marketing generalist capable of building high-performing teams, crafting compelling narratives, and driving measurable business outcomes in a fast-paced technology environment.
Exceptional Leadership:
As an Andelan, you’ll serve as a role model for the rest of the company. Think about the feedback your peers typically give you – if it usually sounds like the below, we want to hear from you.
Low ego, low drama, servant leader: You share credit, take blame. You like being wrong because it means someone else had an even better idea.
One team mentality: You break silos across teams. You put the company and mission first above your team alone.
Great listener, hungry for feedback: You’re always seeking to improve – our product, our business, yourself. You solicit diverse opinions and deeply listen.
Owner, not renter: You see a problem, you fix it or find someone who will. The buck stops with you.
Player-coach: You fly high (create strategy) AND low (know the details that matter). You roll up your sleeves and get scrappy. You do this without micromanaging, empowering your team while actively engaging in important details.
Business problem solver: You’re not just a functional expert; you consistently get praise for approaching your function through the lens of solving business problems.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy and Execution: Develop and implement a cohesive marketing strategy aligned with business objectives, including market positioning, product marketing, demand generation, and brand development.
Brand Leadership: Strengthen Andela’s market presence by refining and enhancing our brand identity and voice across AI services, talent marketplace, and SaaS offerings.
Demand Generation: Lead initiatives to generate high-quality leads through integrated marketing campaigns, digital marketing, content marketing, events, and strategic partnerships.
Product Marketing: Oversee the creation of compelling product positioning and messaging tailored to enterprise customers, highlighting differentiated value across our offerings.
Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Market Intelligence: Leverage market insights, competitive analysis, and customer research to inform strategic decisions and identify growth opportunities.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Talent teams to ensure alignment and effectiveness of go-to-market strategies.
Budget Management: Define, manage, and optimize the marketing budget to deliver measurable ROI.
Qualifications:
12+ years of progressive experience in B2B marketing, with at least 5 years leading marketing in a senior leadership capacity, within IT services, GenAI services, or talent marketplaces.
Proven ability of exceptional leadership, scaling marketing teams, managing complex initiatives, and collaborating cross-functionally at executive levels.
Demonstrated track record of crafting and executing strategic marketing plans that drive substantial business growth and brand recognition.
Extensive knowledge and experience across brand, product marketing, demand generation, digital marketing, content strategy, and marketing operations.
Strong data-driven mindset, comfortable with marketing analytics, metrics, and reporting.
Exceptional communicator able to clearly articulate complex ideas internally and externally.
