Are you an exceptional, hungry leader seasoned in scaling businesses through transformation and growth? Join us and change the world.

Job Summary:

Andela is transitioning from a world-class talent marketplace into a high-scale, AI-integrated Talent Cloud. As a Data Analyst you will build and maintain the data infrastructure that powers Andela's business intelligence and analytics capabilities. This role requires someone who thinks about data as a product, ensuring data is reliable, accessible, and structured to enable self-service analytics across the organization

Exceptional Leadership:

As an Andelan, you’ll serve as a role model for the rest of the company. Think about the feedback your peers typically give you – if it usually sounds like the below, we want to hear from you.

  • Low ego, low drama, servant leader: You share credit, take blame. You like being wrong because it means someone else had an even better idea.

  • One team mentality: You break silos across teams. You put the company and mission first above your team alone.

  • Great listener, hungry for feedback: You’re always seeking to improve – our product, our business, yourself. You solicit diverse opinions and deeply listen.

  • Owner, not renter: You see a problem, you fix it or find someone who will. The buck stops with you.

  • Player-coach: You fly high (create strategy) AND low (know the details that matter). You roll up your sleeves and get scrappy. You do this proactively collaborating with your team while actively engaging in important details.

  • Business problem solver: You’re not just a functional expert; you consistently get praise for approaching your function through the lens of solving business problems.

Key Responsibilities:
Proactive Business Partnership

  • Embed yourself in assigned business function to deeply understand their priorities, challenges, and opportunities

  • Proactively identify analytical opportunities before stakeholders ask—hunt for insights that drive action

  • Design and lead experiments, A/B tests, and pilots with clear success metrics and measurement frameworks

  • Deliver insights with clear recommendations and next steps, not just data summaries

Analytics & Insights Generation

  • Build dashboards, reports, and analytical frameworks that enable ongoing business monitoring

  • Conduct deep-dive analyses on business performance, customer behavior, and operational efficiency

  • Develop forecasting and predictive models to support strategic planning and resource allocation

  • Synthesize complex data into compelling narratives that drive stakeholder action

Experimentation & Measurement

  • Partner with business teams to design experiments that test new strategies, products, or processes

  • Establish success metrics, tracking mechanisms, and analytical approaches for each initiative

  • Analyze experiment results with statistical rigor and deliver clear go/no-go recommendations

  • Build repeatable frameworks for experimentation that increase velocity and learning

Data Literacy & Enablement

  • Train business partners on self-service analytics tools and metrics definitions

  • Create documentation and resources that enable stakeholders to answer basic questions independently

  • Serve as the data expert for your business area, ensuring consistent interpretation of metric

Qualifications:

Required Experience & Skills

  • 4-7 years in business intelligence, data analytics, or related analytical role

  • Advanced SQL skills with ability to structure complex analyses independently

  • Strong proficiency with BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar)

  • Preferred experience with the Looker semantic layer (LookerML)

  • Proficiency in R or Python for automated data processing, statistical modeling, and advanced visualization

  • Deep understanding of statistical concepts and experimental design

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority

  • Exceptional communication skills—ability to tell compelling stories with data

What Sets You Apart

  • You don't wait for assignments; you proactively identify problems worth solving

  • You think from first principles and challenge assumptions in pursuit of truth

  • You're comfortable with ambiguity and can structure unstructured problems

  • You balance analytical rigor with pragmatic business judgment

  • You demonstrate high ownership and follow-through on all commitments

  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative field; advanced degree preferred
