What will you do in this role?
- Design and implement features to solve challenging problems in our large Rails codebase.
- Optimize scalability, performance, and security. We are continually working to refine our app to handle growth while maintaining high security standards.
- Maintain and improve existing systems.
- Collaborate with our team of developers, designers, and QA.
Required Skills & Experience
We’re looking for a motivated, intelligent person to join our team!
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software development experience.
- Ability to solve complex tasks in a mature codebase, with a solid attention to detail and desire to build great software.
- Backend Focus (Ruby on Rails Preferred):
- 4+ years of hands-on Rails experience is great, or equivalent experience in similar frameworks.
- Strong understanding of web security best practices (access control, OWASP top 10, etc.).
- Solid skills and experience with relational database design and optimization (MySQL preferred).
- Familiarity with building and consuming APIs, including REST and GraphQL.
- Write Tests to ensure maintainable, reliable code.
- Front-End Familiarity:
- Ability to handle basic front-end tasks or troubleshooting.
- Bonus if you've worked with tools like React, TypeScript, or d3.js.
- Education: CS degree or equivalent proven skills and experience.
- Location: On-site or hybrid preferred.
