The LXP Profiles team at Degreed is looking for an experienced Front End Developer to support the Reporting Tea and who is excited about designing and implementing scalable systems to join our team. In this position you will work along-side other experienced developers and work with the Product Manager and Engineering Manager to implement reliable, robust and scalable solutions for the Degreed LXP as well add new features, fix bugs, and drive the Degreed product forward. The Reporting and Analytics team is responsible for the processes and solutions to source, transform and deliver the data within the layers of our application data visualizations as well as SFTP exports and customer direct access to our data warehouse. Some of the data is currently sourced from SQL to our data warehouse and in the future all from our data warehouse. The team works with a product manager to plan and prioritize our road map. One of the big projects starting off is to overhaul our existing in app data visualizations to ensure they tell a similar story across all applications areas. This entails simple things like color and style as well as having broader data coverage. We currently use a javascript library for in app charting but will be exploring a replacement for our in app data; potentially with an embedded solution. The UX refresh will partner with analytics engineer to organize the data, to model and transform it for the best in app charts.

This role will be based onsite in Bengaluru, India. After an in-office onboarding period, incumbents are expected to be available in office for a few days per week as part of hybrid work model. Candidates will also be required to travel internationally 1-2 times annually for full company gatherings.

Deliver end-to-end implementation of new user-facing features and/or enhancements to existing features
Participate in troubleshooting production issues and work with the team to continuously evaluate and improve the quality, reliability, and scalability of the LXP application
You will implement beautiful layouts using SASS / CSS3 and HTML
Craft Angular components and services with an eye for modularity
Continually improve the quality of UI code
Collaborate with product owners to ensure features/changes meet business requirements and fulfil the Degreed strategy
Work closely with designers, UX, and other developers to gain understanding of new features, dependencies, and technical details
Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to existing engineering processes including deployment, monitoring, localization, accessibility, and troubleshooting

Who You Are

There are only a handful of folks who meet all qualifications. We care more about hiring engineers that have a track record of shipping impactful, quality software than checking all the boxes. So, whether you meet all the qualifications or a partial set, we want to hear from you

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
You will have at least 5+ years’ experience in developing front-end software
At least 3 years Angular experience required - latest version preferred but not required
Demonstrated experience in an agile environment
Comfortable creating highly scalable SaaS systems and frameworks
Possess strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
Solution driven with ability to understand the big picture
Highly organized, detail oriented, and able to work autonomously with minimal direction
Lifelong learner and passionate about discovering new things and taking on new challenges.
Familiar with encapsulating UI code
Experienced with:

Angular v12+
RxJS v6+
Unit testing with Jest
NgBootstrap v10+

What Sets You Apart

Data visualization experience (especially with HighCharts) a plus
ARIA attributes and screen reader technologies
Cypress experience
Experience with C#, .Net 6, and SQL

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Degreed is a remote-first company, however our roles are open to in-office or hybrid if you live in a city with a physical office location. This role has the opportunity to operate 100% virtually from your home office. We primarily collaborate with our US and International colleagues through virtual meetings (Zoom), email, and Slack. In this role, you will be required to operate a laptop computer (PC or Mac available), computer software platforms, and other office productivity machinery as necessary. Due to the nature of this role, you must be able to remain stationary for extended periods, and must be able to observe and interpret written and/or verbal communication.
