About the Role

EdSights is hiring an Accounting Manager to lead our accounting and financial operations. In this role, you’ll partner closely with company and department leaders, as well as external vendors, to ensure our financial systems and processes are accurate, efficient, and built to scale. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, hands-on, and eager to scale accounting operations in a fast-paced, high growth environment.

You’ll report directly to the Vice President of Finance and, as EdSights’ first accounting hire, have tremendous opportunities for professional growth. The position is fully remote.

What You’ll Do

  • Core accounting: Lead the month-end close, including reconciliations, journal entries, and preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Financial operations: Manage accounts receivable and payable, invoicing, collections, vendor relationships, and 1099 filings. Oversee corporate card and expense programs for policy compliance and accurate coding.
  • Technical accounting: Ensure GAAP compliance and maintain documentation for key accounting policies, including ASC 606, ASC 985, and stock-based compensation.
  • Systems and controls: Implement process automation, system enhancements, and internal controls to strengthen accuracy, efficiency, and financial oversight.
  • Audits, tax & compliance: Lead annual financial audits, manage sales and income tax filings, and maintain state and business compliance across jurisdictions.
  • Finance support: Partner cross-functionally on budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and ad hoc analyses to support strategic decision-making.

What You Should Have

  • Minimum 4 years of accounting experience; CPA preferred.
  • Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm or within a high-growth technology company.
  • Proficiency with financial systems and tools, including excel/google sheets, quickbooks, and bill pay/expense management software
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A self-starter mindset and "no task is too small" attitude.
