Responsibilities
- Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations, and offboarding
- Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart
- Contribute to policy development and implementation
- Partner with employees and management to communicate various human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, and other government regulations
- Perform data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS) and conduct audits for accuracy and compliance
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits including open enrollments, mid-year changes, and training for employee benefits programs
- Respond to human resources-related inquiries
- Process complaints regarding sexual harassment, discrimination, or other instances of workplace harassment and assist in any necessary investigations and disciplinary action
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements
- Process garnishments, child support orders, and national medical support orders in compliance with legal requirements
- Hnadle unemployment claims, including gathering necessary documentation and responding to state agencies
Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of the human resources field
- Strong knowledge of state and employment law, including FMLA, ADA, COBRA, and EEOC regulations
- Understanding of personnel and everything compliance records management
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
- 1-3 years human resources experience
- Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook)
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
- This is an onsite position 8:00am to 5:00pm
