We are looking for a Senior Director of Engineering to join our growing team. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, the Senior Director will be instrumental in growing, managing, and coaching a cross-functional team of engineers. As the Senior Director of Engineering, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our growth by streamlining operations, driving innovation, and enhancing the customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Management:

    • Mentor, train, and lead a team of Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers, including technical leads and managers, while fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and innovative culture.

    • Ensure professional growth and skill development across the Engineering department through a culture of continuous learning.

    • Establish scalable processes that reflect best practices for software development.

    • Partner with Engineering leadership and Human Resources to attract, hire, and retain top talent as we continue growing the department.

  • Strategic leadership:

    • Contribute to the development and execution of strategic plans, initiatives, and roadmaps for our products.

    • Provide strategic technical leadership and guidance to the Engineering department, ensuring the team’s technical capabilities are able to meet the needs and objectives of our customers.

  • Cross-departmental communication:

    • Collaborate with Product, Customer Success, and Sales to define product requirements and ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions in alignment with company-wide objectives and priorities.

    • Communicate with key stakeholders to ensure the Engineering team is meeting key deadlines and deliverables.

  • Product development:

    • Support the timely, high-quality delivery of software features, improvements, and bug fixes while maintaining alignment with our customer’s needs and security initiatives.

    • Demonstrate best practices from conception to deployment by diligently reviewing code and contributing to coding and development projects.

    • Optimize our products by maintaining a strong focus on code quality, efficiency, and reliability.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in software development and 5+ years of experience managing and leading cross-functional technical teams.

  • Proven success scaling and enabling engineering teams at high-growth B2B SaaS companies.

  • Demonstrated track record of establishing and executing best practices and process improvements.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with executives, customers, and team members.

  • Ability to establish and maintain priorities in a rapidly evolving environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.

  • Strong systems design and architecture skills.

  • Proven experience delivering high-quality, stable, and scalable software.

Benefits:

  • $250,000 - $325,000, depending on experience
